Min Yu, Ph.D.

Min Yu, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Comparative and International Education and Social Studies Education in the College of Education at Wayne State University. She uses ethnography, along with archival research and policy analysis, to develop critical understandings of the roles of community organizing and the impact of changing social, political, and economic conditions on the education of children. Her work appears in journals such as The China Quarterly, Comparative Education Review, Comparative Education, Review of Research in Education, Educational Studies, Curriculum Perspectives, Diaspora, Indigenous, and Minority Education.

christopher crowley

Christopher B. Crowley, Ph.D.

Christopher B. Crowley, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Teacher Education at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. His primary area of research is curriculum studies and he focuses on issues surrounding privatization in teacher education. He is a former English teacher, and he has more than two decades of experience as an educator.  Crowley’s research has appeared in journals such as Teaching and Teacher Education, Review of Research in Education, Teachers College Record, The China Quarterly, and Schools: Studies in Education.

Meghan Courtney

Meghan Courtney was the Outreach Archivist at the Walter P. Reuther Library. She has worked with hundreds of students and teachers to build primary source literacy skills and incorporate them into an understanding of the world. She prioritizes sharing archives with users of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels.

Dan Golodner

Dan Golodner

Dan Golodner is the archivist for the American Federation of Teachers at the Walter P. Reuther Library since 1997. He has built the collection into one of the largest archives of teacher union materials in the country and has conducted oral histories, produced exhibits and given numerous talks about the American teacher union movement.

Sean McBrady, Ed.D.

Sean McBrady, Ed.D.

Sean McBrady, Ed.D. is the K-12 Social Studies Consultant for the Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD) and a part-time faculty member at Wayne State University in the College of Education. In his role with the MISD, Dr. McBrady provides curriculum and instructional support to Macomb County’s 21 public school districts. Prior to joining the MISD, he taught science and social studies in the Ann Arbor Public Schools.
