Dear
14,
Sir:
As Chairman of the
the honor to submit the
account of the activities
through September 30,
Public Review Board, UAW, I have
Second Annual Report, embodying an
of the Board from October 1, 1958,
1959, My colleagues and I feel ‘grateful
for the opportunity of participating in the important
public
‘The observations with which I prefaced the First Annual
Report submitted last year contained the following comment:
_"J believe that I am voicing the conviction of my colleagues when
“I say that the creation of the Public Review Board reveals the
high degree of stability, responsibility and moral health which
American labor possesses and indicates that it has the capacity
for self-discipline to enable it increasingly to remove the
deficiencies and inequities from which no large organization
_is entirely free." -I also stated that ''Our experience in
_ these last eighteen months has proved that the UAW is free
from corruption and gross perversions of the democratic
procedures,"
The experience of another year
thé truth of the above statements,
supports
and emphasizes
May I convey to you and through you to the membership
the friendly thoughts and good wishes of the Board,
Sincerely yours,
Rabbi Morris Adler
