About

About

The Walter P. Reuther Legacy Project is a collaborative effort of the Walter P. Reuther Library, the Walter and May Reuther Memorial Fund, and the United Auto Workers union to highlight the life, work, and extensive achievements of labor and civil rights leader Walter P. Reuther (1907-1970) through the online exhibition of archival materials held by the Walter P. Reuther Library, Archives of Labor and Urban Affairs at Wayne State University. Archivists have carefully selected primary sources in a range of formats held in archival collections such as the Records of the UAW President's Office, Records of the UAW Public Relations Department, and more. The archival materials shared via this site represent a fraction of the collections held at the Walter P. Reuther Library, and members, researchers, and the general public are welcome to view collection descriptions, additional digital collections, and contact archives staff by visiting reuther.wayne.edu.

Support

This project is made possible by the generous support of the Walter and May Reuther Memorial Fund and the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW).
