: Congress isi now writing its tax program. President
and his millionaire cabinet are plugging hard for tax changes which
will make it easier for millionaires to become billionaires. Liberals in
Congress are battling to raise the personal income tax exemption. |
Eisenhower and his millionaires want to give nearly all the tax saving
to corporations and the favored few. They claim that if more money is
given to the rich enough will trickle down to hold the economy on an
even keel. Herbert Hoover and Andrew Mellon had the same idea 25
years ago. It brought on the great depression. —
The CIO and liberals in Congress believe the way to ‘build a sound
economy is to create a firm foundation of purchasing power- held by the
millions of low and middle income families who buy nearly all of the outal
