Walter P. Reuther, president of the United Auto Workers, found the native Puerto Rican mode of transport not quite as comfortable as modern motor cars when he rode a burro at the El Barranquitas Hotel in Puerto Rico recently. Reuther's companion is James B. Carey, president of the International Union of Electrical Workers. Union officials and their wives made an overnight visit to the hotel in Barranquintas, Puerto Rico, during the week-long AFL-CIO Executive Council meeting in San Juan. 1959
